STEP 01 — TELL US ABOUT THE STORY

Tell us who the film is about, what you hope to preserve, and anything important about your timing or family. You don't need to have the story figured out yet.

We'll review what you share and help you determine whether a Mini Story, Life Story Film, or Legacy Story is the right place to start.

STEP 02 — BUILD THE STORY

Once you're ready to move forward, we'll guide you through a more detailed Story Questionnaire before the interview.

This is where you can tell us about the people, places, milestones, funny stories, difficult chapters, family traditions and little details that made this life unique.

You'll also begin gathering photographs, home videos, recordings, documents and other personal media that can help us bring those memories to life on screen.

Your interview happens remotely using Riverside, allowing us to capture high-quality video and audio without sending a production crew into your home.

Before the interview, we'll help make sure your camera, sound, lighting and connection are ready. When interview day arrives, all you have to do is get comfortable and talk with us.

After the interview, your family gets to relax. We take it from there.

We shape hours of conversation and personal media into a cinematic story—finding the moments that matter, building the narrative, restoring and animating photographs, incorporating meaningful media, and creating the pacing, sound and visual details that make the film feel alive.

MORE THAN AN INTERVIEW

STEP 05 — REVIEW & FINISH

Before the film is finalized, you'll receive a private online review copy.

Depending on your film package, you'll have one or two revision rounds to flag corrections, identify a photograph, adjust a name or date, or let us know about something important that needs attention.

Once everything is approved, we finish the master and deliver your completed digital film.

TIMING

Every film is different. Timing depends on the film you choose, the amount of personal media involved, interview availability, revisions and the complexity of the story.

If you're creating a film for a birthday, anniversary, memorial, reunion or another important date, tell us at the beginning. We'll let you know what's realistic before you reserve.

Rush production may be available after a capacity review and may require an additional fee.

Not at all. This is a guided conversation, not a performance. We'll help you get comfortable and keep the conversation moving.

WHAT IF I DON'T KNOW WHAT STORIES TO TELL?

That's exactly what the questionnaire and guided interview are for. Our job is to help uncover the stories—not wait for you to arrive with a script.

CAN FAMILY MEMBERS PARTICIPATE FROM DIFFERENT PLACES?

Yes. Depending on the film, we can incorporate additional interviews and perspectives from family and friends in different locations. Additional costs may apply.

WHAT IF I HAVE HUNDREDS OF PHOTOS?

That's normal. We'll tell you how many are included with your film and help you focus on the images that best support the story.
